Brew Bites Dog Bakery is a small-batch, all-natural, high-fiber dog treat bakery built around a simple yet important mission: do right by pets, people, and the planet.

We believe in baking dog treats that do more than taste great. That's why our treats support your dog’s health, are made sustainably, and create a positive impact beyond the bag.

We donate 5% of all proceeds to our long term nonprofit partner The Street Dog Coalition.

All Brew Bites treats are baked using nutritious Colorado grown brewer's barley, transforming nutrient rich ancient grains into daily & special occasion treats that support healthy digestion while helping reduce food waste.

From the Brewery to the Bakery

At the heart of Brew Bites is upcycling. We go the extra mile: local partnerships, Colorado grown barley, and waste prevention. 

Brewer's barley is high in protein, minerals, and B vitamins. Paired with the whole oats we mill in-bakery, and you've got a nutritious ancient grain combo, high in fiber that dogs need for a healthy gut and proper poop.  

By repurposing these grains, we:

• Reduce food waste
• Create functional, fiber-forward dog treats
• Support a more sustainable food system

What would otherwise be discarded becomes a benefit to dogs and the environment we share.

Founder-Led and Baker Owned

Brew Bites Dog Bakery is owned and operated by Kate and Sam, a wife-and-wife team based in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Kate has spent more than fifteen years as a high school teacher, educational coach, and eco-literacy sponsor. Sam’s background includes executive leadership in social impact ventures and a Juris Doctor, shaping her approach to building organizations that are thoughtful, accountable, and built to last.

Together, Kate & Sam bring heart and hustle to everything Brew Bites does from recipe development to responsible sourcing and lasting relationships.

Brew Bites grew alongside community composting work at Garden of Oz, where they saw firsthand how nutrient dense, fiber rich ingredients could be redirected from breweries into something meaningful. 

The idea became personal. When their own dog, Hank, underwent chemotherapy at just over a year old, which later to later weight gain. A few years down the road, Hank needed knee surgery after an injury. 

With a balanced, high-fiber diet that included Brew Bites treats, Hank lost more than fifteen pounds and regained strength and mobility during recovery. 

Whether for healthy weight maintenance, part of a weight loss plan, overall gut health, or just a special occasion, Brew Bites support canine health, reduce waste, and make wholesome choices accessible to dog parents everywhere.
